From the Studio to the Podium

An Olympic and Paralympic themed disability art competition

From the Studio to the Podium is a fantastic opportunity for members of disability art groups and pupils of all ages attending special schools.

Whether you are a sculptor, potter, painter or photographer and you are inspired by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games then enter this competition.

All competition entries must be inspired by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games or their values.

There are two categories in the competition:

• School
• Adult

First prize is £500 worth of art equipment for your school or group and highly commended entries win £250 worth of art equipment for your school or group.

All entrants have the chance to have their submissions selected for public exhibition during the Games this summer at Campus West in Welwyn Garden City,

Terms and Conditions

1. One entry per person although entries produced will be accepted at Hertfordshire is Ready for Winners’ discretion and will not counted as part of an individual tally.
2. All participants must adhere to completion date
3. To enter the competition entrants must be a member of recognised group/establishment and an amateur artist
4. All artwork submissions should be largely the efforts of entrant (i.e. appropriate support is permissible)
5. Entrees to be sent at the expense of the entrant.
6. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are lost, damaged, delayed, or which are not received for any reason
7. The closing date is as specified in the competition, and Hertfordshire is Ready for Winners reserves the right to amend the competition end date at any time.
8. Entrants agree to public display of pieces for duration of exhibition by entering the competition
9. By entering the competition the winner agrees to participate in such promotional activity and material as Hertfordshire is Ready for Winners may require.
10. If you win a competition, we will notify you by post and/or e-mail. The judges’ decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. No part of a prize is exchangeable for cash or any other prize
12. The prize will not be transferable to another person.
13. All entrees must adhere to the Olympic theme and observe any LOCOG restrictions.
